Texas – Former Texas Lawmaker Fined for Violating Revolving Door Law
Chris Paddie, a former Texas State Representative, was fined $105,500 by the Texas Ethics Commission for violating an election law that prohibits state legislators from becoming lobbyists within two years of donating campaign funds to other politicians. This is the largest fine imposed by the agency in 15 years.
