Denver, Colorado – City Approves Lobbying Reform Bill
The Denver City Council passed a lobbying reform bill. Bill 26-0686 creates compensation and grassroots expenditure thresholds for lobby registration and extends the registration window from 5 days to 10. It also requires the disclosure of lobbyist clients and legislative and administrative matters lobbied. Former elected and covered officials are also now subject to a post-employment lobby ban for 12 months following service. The new requirements will take effect January 1, 2027.
