New York – Public Matching Law May Soon Change
New York’s public small donor contribution matching program may soon see serious changes should Governor Hochul sign AB A7760, which would increase the threshold of voters required to qualify, while also matching the first $250 of any donation received. As the program stands today, only contributions between $5 and $250 are eligible for public matching. The Governor has not stated whether or not she will sign the bill.
