Minnesota – Governor Walz Signs Campaign Finance and Lobby Bill
Governor Walz recently signed House File 4239, which modifies certain campaign finance and lobby reporting requirements; An official’s address is no longer required when reporting a gift, and instead must include the official’s name, title, date, and jurisdiction. Additionally, staff costs associated with grassroots activity is no longer reportable; however, grassroots materials will now require a disclaimer. The change is effective immediately.
