Illinois – Former Governor Proposes Ethics Reform Package
Following a series of scandals landing several prominent politicians in prison, former Governor Pat Quinn has written a letter to the Legislature proposing a series of ethics reforms designed to avoid future scandals that include tightening revolving door laws, banning double-dipping on public employments, and restricting campaign contributions from utilities and other monopolies. There is currently an effort to convene a special session to pass ethics reforms.
