Federal – FEC Proposes to Permit Campaigns to Pay Security Expenses
The FEC has proposed new regulations permitting campaigns to pay for candidate security expenses amidst a dramatic spike in credible threats being leveled against them. In 2023 alone, capitol police investigated 8,000 such threats, with a larger number expected this year.
