North Dakota — Federal PACs Temporarily Not Required to Register as State PACs
The Office of the Secretary of State has advised that federal PACs may continue filing reports as they have previously; this comes after the North Dakota Attorney General issued a letter opinion requiring federal PACs to report as a state PAC (Opinion 2025-L-01.) The Office of the Secretary of State has clarified there will be a hold on the new requirement until greater clarity can be provided.
