Michigan – Governor Signs Revolving Door Law

Starting January 1, 2027, former Michigan state legislators, governors, lieutenant governors and executive branch department heads will be required to wait two years before working as lobbyists. Violating the new law is punishable with up to 90 days’ imprisonment and/or a $1,000 fine.
