Connecticut – Ethics Commission Allows In-House Lobbyists to Donate to Foreign-Owned Businesses
The Connecticut Elections Enforcement Commission has issued a declaratory ruling, Declaratory Ruling 2026-01, affirming that in-house lobbyists working for foreign-owned businesses may make personal contributions of their own volition to Connecticut political campaigns; the ruling comes after the state recently enacted a foreign-contribution ban in 2024.
